Pledging is History
During my time at Montclair State University, I created a book as the final product for my thesis. In this book, I explored the complexity of the intake process for Black Greek Lettered Organizations (BGLOs) being connected to the history of the Black experience in America.
My love of typography led to the creation of the book - showcasing the different ways I created hierarchy for specific subjects and used color to complement the images in each spread. In my design, I incorporated a six column grid with a one font family type. I also created enough imagery to reflect a collage in order to balance out the negative space on each page.
In the way that some images “bleed” off the page I attempted to create that same feeling - lending to the long and narrow bodies of text with some titles “bleeding” from one page to another.
